They will then be prominently displayed at The Rita Community Celebration Saturday, April 28 from 2 to 5 p.m. The umbrella exhibit will be on display throughout "The Rita" from April 20 to May 15. After the exhibition closes, umbrella artists can keep their creations or donate them for an auction to help raise funds for upcoming community arts events to be held at The Rita.
A total of 100 umbrellas were made available for this community-art project when the event was announced March 1. Artists are asked to review project guidelines and sign an artist's agreement to return the umbrella art for the exhibit. For more details about the umbrella project, call "The Rita" box office today at 262-595-2564.
