Classified Staff Award nominations close Friday

Question: What do UW-Parkside police officer Kurt Bergendahl and Computer Science Academic Department Associate Connie Wheeler have in common? Answer: They are the current Classified Staff Distinguished Service Award honorees. You may have seen their posters gracing the university's Main Concourse.

The next recipients of this award have yet to be chosen and right now is the perfect time for you to help with the process. That's because the deadline for Classified Staff Distinguished Service Award nominations is this Friday, March 30. 

Nominees should be people who:

• Show exceptional performance
• Exceed work responsibilities, and
• Engage in activities that enhance his or her work site, department, the university, and/ or the community

If that sounds like a classified staff member you know, here's your chance to help that person get the recognition they deserve. It will only take a few minutes to complete the nomination form which is available at www.uwp.edu keyword CSDSA. And keep in mind the deadline for nominations is Friday, March 30, 2012.
