SBT Executive-in-Residence James Kettinger Tuesday
James Kettinger, president and chief executive of IEA, Inc., a Kenosha-based manufacturer of large industrial radiators for internal combustion engines, is the featured Executive In Residence, Tuesday, April 3. This University of Wisconsin-Parkside graduate presents the program "Applied Leadership Lessons--Career and Business Success Essentials" at 9:30 a.m. and again at 11 a.m. in the Student Center Cinema. The program is free and open to all UW-Parkside students, faculty, and staff.
"It was a real honor to be named the Executive-in-Residence," Kettinger said. "I would like students to know that they can do whatever they want to do, they just need to set their vision high enough and go for it."
Kettinger will talk about career and business success essentials, providing students with the opportunity to ask questions about these issues and from this interaction gain an appreciation of how executives make decisions and motivate and manage people.
"This program is designed to provide students with a view of a successful business professional," said Fred Ebeid, dean and professor of finance in the School of Business and Technology. "It encourages students to see that a professional on that level once sat in these students' seats."
The Executive In Residence program offers students and faculty the opportunity to learn from variety of business leaders about the current challenges in the world of business. Held twice each academic year, the Executive In Residence program strengthens the student's classroom experience by offering real-world information on the key issues encountered when managing a business firm.
