Delicious alumni fundraiser at Famous Dave’s

Alumni (& Ranger Bear) take over Famous Dave's 4/19!

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside Alumni Association is taking over Famous Dave's Legendary Pit Bar-B-Que in Kenosha Thursday, April 19, and you are invited to stop by for some great ribs! From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. that day, guests who present the coupon now available at the alumni website will have 15 percent of their bill donated to the UW-Parkside Alumni Association. The restaurant is located at 9900 77th St. off Highway 50 in Pleasant Prairie.

"This fund-raiser is a good way to take UW-Parkside out into the community," said Peppy O'Neill, UW-Parkside Alumni Relations manager. She stresses that everyone is welcome and funds raised during this event go toward student scholarships.

UW-Parkside Alumni Association representatives will be at the restaurant from about 5 to 8 p.m. that day and Ranger Bear--a huge rib fan--makes a special appearance from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. (watch your ribs around this bruin).

Alumni Association Day at Famous Dave's is a great opportunity for students and alumni to stay connected and contribute to the association while enjoying a great meal.

Thursday in Racine: Alumni After Hours

While you're waiting for Rib Day (mmmmm, ribs), the Alumni Association invites you to this Thursday's Alumni After Hours. It's from 5 to 7 p.m. at the "20&Oakes" bar and grill inside the Racine Marriott. There are free appetizers and special beverage prices. Stop by!
