Active HR 1: Forums on new personnel system ideas

All UW-Parkside faculty and staff are urged to attend this week's Human Resources forums. Held in room 103 of Greenquist Hall Wednesday at noon and Thursday at 4:45 p.m., the forums share ideas being discussed for the new personnel systems that go into effective July 1, 2013. If you can't attend either forum, a PowerPoint will be available on the Faculty and Staff homepage after Thursday's session.

"The workgroups convened on March 29 in Steven's Point and shared suggestions for improving the UW System policies regarding our employment and work environment. The theme for the new personnel systems is: Simplicity, Consistency and Coherence," said Barb Farrar, Interim HR Director

Farrar stressed that, at this point, the new personnel system plan is only in draft form. She added your input is important and that ideas, questions and feedback should be sent to ups@uwsa.edu at UW System or ups@uwp.edu at UW-Parkside.

Farrar called this spring and early summer a "very important time" in the formation of these new policies since a final draft will be created in the fall and sent to the Board of Regents in December 2012.
