Call for nominations: Academic Staff service award

Wednesday, April 18, 2012, is the deadline to submit a nomination for the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Academic Staff Distinguished Service Award. This honor is for non-teaching members of the academic staff employed at 50 percent time or more, and who have not received the award within the last ten years.

Award nominees are judged by the following criteria:

• Individual demonstrates service which benefits the University of Wisconsin-Parkside or the campus community and exceeds the required performance of his/her normal duties or job responsibilities;
  
• Distinguished service should be related to his/her professional training;
  Nominations may be for either one significant activity or service or a pattern of exemplary service over years or both at UW-Parkside; and
  
• Service could have been performed or accomplished on and/or off campus.

A list of eligible academic staff members is on the university web site. An online nomination form is also available on the web site as are more details about the award.
Again, the deadline for nominations is Wednesday, April 18. The Academic Staff committee will ask for supporting information on those nominated by the end of April.
