VISTA Recruitment Begins: Do you know someone looking to gain valuable experience for a year and is interested in health and hunger issues or educational attainment and mentoring issues? Tell them about the AmeriCorps*VISTA Program and the two positions available at the CCP starting this summer. These positions work in partnership with the Racine/Kenosha Community Action Agency, the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha, and the Racine County Workforce Development Center, among others. Just the facts, ma'am: If you've been wondering about the impact the Center for Community Partnerships has on southeastern Wisconsin, here are a few facts and figures from the CCP's Jane Schaefer:
--1,220 participants in CCP workshops and conferences
--3,389 enrollments in non-credit mini-courses (check the "Your U" catalog for spring courses)
--961 UW-Parkside students participated in community-based learning
Revised Procard log: Tricia Stuart of UW Parkside Business Services reports the newly revised Procard log is now available on the university's J drive or on the Business Services web site.
