Forums on new personnel system ideas rescheduled
All UW-Parkside faculty and staff are urged to attend the rescheduled Human Resources forums on the new personnel systems. Originally set for Wednesday and Thursday of this week, the programs were pushed forward to next week to add information that will affect the University Personnel Systems (UPS) workgroups' draft recommendations.
"This [the rescheduling] will not impact your ability to make recommendations or to participate in the process," interim director of Human Resources Barb Farrar said in an email to campus earlier this week, "rather, we will present a more thorough presentation."
Held in room 103 of Greenquist Hall, the rescheduled forums are:
Tuesday, April 24, 4:45 - 5:45 p.m.
Wednesday, April 25, noon - 1 p.m.
If you can't attend either forum, a PowerPoint will be available on the Faculty and Staff homepage after Wednesday's session.
Farrar again stressed, at this point, the new personnel system plan is only in draft form and that your input is important. She said ideas, questions, and feedback should be sent to ups@uwsa.edu at UW System or ups@uwp.edu at UW-Parkside.
This spring and early summer are an important time in the formation of these new policies because a final draft will be created in the fall and sent to the Board of Regents in December 2012. Visit the UW System web site to learn more about the university personnel systems.
