Campus News Short Takes:
On Wednesday, April 4, Ranger Today carried an article on the buzz created by the research of UW-Parkside business students Chris McMahon and Trevor Severson titled "Improving Healthcare Delivery in the Department of Corrections." The students worked with Business Professor Dr. Abey Kuruvilla on the project which has grabbed the attention of Wisconsin legislators. WRJN radio recently highlighted the research on a newscast. Click on the link above and scrolled to about 7:28 into the newscast to hear the report.
Our colleague, Dr. James B. Kinchen Jr., is one of two men who will be honored this Saturday, April 14, for service to the community through their music ministry. Singers, musicians, friends and family from churches throughout Racine and beyond will honor Dr. Kinchen and Tim Johnson, minister of music at St. Paul Baptist Church, at a special Legends Celebration at St. Paul Church, 1123 Center St. in Racine. Everyone is invited to join in this afternoon of performance and community. The celebration begins at 2 p.m. and admission is free. For more information, call 262-634-0428.
