Dean’s List: Arts/Humanities dean candidates here
A week from today, Thursday, April 26, the first of four finalists for the dean's position in the new College of Arts & Humanities visits the UW-Parkside campus. Each candidate will have an open forum presentation and question and answer session to address the value of arts and humanities. All faculty, staff, students, administrators, and community members are encouraged to attend and provide constructive and confidential feedback.
The candidate schedule is:

Open forum: Thursday, April 26, 2 to 3 p.m.
Dr. James O'Donnell, Dean, School of Arts and Humanities and Professor of Music
Wayne State College, Wayne, Nebraska
Open forum: Friday, April 27, 11 a.m. to noon
Dr. Ramesh Rao
Professor, Dept. of Communication Studies and Theatre
Longwood University, Farmville, Virginia
Open forum: Monday, April 30, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Dr. Abbey Zink
Interim Dean, School of Arts and Sciences and Professor of English
Western Connecticut State University, Danbury, Connecticut
Open forum: Monday, May 7, 2 to 3 p.m.
Each forum is held in the Galbraith Room of Wyllie Hall (Wyllie 363).
Search and Screen Committee Chair Fay Akindes said the finalists were selected from a national pool of 50 applicants. Following the visits, the committee will make a recommendation to Provost Terry Brown. The successful candidate will direct UW-Parkside's new College of Arts and Humanities, created during a recent reorganization that divided two "colleges" into four, and will report to Provost Brown.
