On April 21, 2012, students from UW-Parkside will participate in the annual Hunger Cleanup/Earthday, a one day community service event. Students will volunteer at local shelters and community agencies, and will take on a variety of projects including painting, cleaning, clearing plant invasive species, and minor building projects. Our food drive will support the Shalom Center and the Racine County Food Bank.

For interested students, sign up will be taking place in Molinaro Hall, on the bridge through Thursday (10:30 am-1:30 pm). UW-Parkside students will contribute their efforts in making a change on campus and in the community for a better environment.

Students will meet in Main Place of Wyllie Hall at 7:30 a.m., with breakfast until 8:30 a.m. and from there traveling to the various work site locations to volunteer. At 12:30 p.m., volunteer students will return for lunch, a raffle and reflection and end their day at 1:30 p.m.

UW-Parkside Hunger Cleanup/Earth day is sponsored by Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority Inc., Parkside Activities Board, Pre-Health Club, Rainbow Alliance,

Parkside International Club, Parkside Asian Organization, Women's Softball, Student Athletics, Acolitos, Residence Life, Advisory Council, Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, and the UW-Parkside Volunteer Program.
