3D Workshop tonight! |
Artists in need of a little inspiration or motivation can find it tonight in room 105 of Molinaro Hall. That's where the 3D animation workshop featuring artists Jacob Gardner of Dreamworks Animation and Blizzard Entertainment and Tom Jech of the Halo franchise is held.
"Our lecture is aimed to inspire and motivate students. We share a lot of the fears and struggles professionals have to deal with, so students can see how similar being a student is to working at a major studio like Pixar, Blizzard, or Dreamworks," said UW-Parkside student Jon Graef. "We'll talk about staying creative and motivated, how to apply to studios, how to talk to professionals, how to behave in an interview, and we'll get words of wisdom for life in general regardless of academic focus."
Gardner's and Jech's production credits includes "Shrek Forever After," "Halo Reach," "Megamind," "Puss in Boots," and "Monsters vs. Aliens." The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.
The session is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
