Undergrad research symposium at UW-Parkside Friday
The 12th annual University of Wisconsin System Symposium for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity comes to UW-Parkside Friday, April 27. Bringing more than 300 students, faculty, and administrators from around the state to campus, the program runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Student Center.
Some 170 student presentations--123 posters, 38 short talks, and 8 gallery exhibits?will be shown covering a broad range of disciplines. And there is a very strong showing of UW-Parkside students with support from many faculty and staff.
More information on the symposium and a general symposium schedule are available on the symposium webpage. A full symposium program with details about titles, abstracts, times, and locations for talks, posters, and gallery exhibits is available as a PDF which is also on the symposium webpage in the left scroll bar.
UW-Parkside faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to attend any of the short talks, poster displays, or creative presentations. This is the second and final year the UW symposium is being held at UW-Parkside and it probably will be 20 or more years before it is held here again. Consider coming to see the range and types of presentations by our students and students from other UW institutions.
Keep in mind, on Thursday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m., the UW-Parkside Jazz Combo under the direction of Russ Johnson plays a special free concert for symposium attendees and all jazz fans in the Frances Bedford Concert Hall.
