2012 research symposium recap

Of the more than 250 students who took part in Friday's UW Symposium for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity, UW-Parkside students presented research on topics ranging from wind energy to the Dream Act.

Computer science majors Adam Nelson, a senior from Kenosha, and Nicole Becker, a junior from Milwaukee, discuss their research on creating a gene comparison tool. Adam Dalby, Jim Cholnoski and Emily Marriot are also part of this team. Derek Riley is the faculty sponsor. 

Christina Daniels, a senior sociology/anthropology major from Kenosha, discusses her research on the affects of media exposure in high-profile court cases. Xun (George) Wang is the faculty sponsor.

Junior molecular biology major Cheryl Leyns, Muskego, discusses her research on developing a diagnostic tool for screening iron deficiency in infants. Daphne Pham is the faculty sponsor.
