The 8th annual Celebrazione Italiana on Friday, May 18, is all about helping students expand their educational experiences. It's also about honoring three important cultural organizations for their work to preserve part of the region's ethnic heritage

The celebration raises funds that allow students from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside to study in Italy and Italian students to attend classes at the Kenosha campus. The university has an active student exchange program with the University of Calabria in Italy.

During the evening, the university honors three area organizations:

The Italian-American Club of Kenosha

The Roma Lodge of Racine, and

The Calabresi In America Organization from the Chicago area

More information on each is available on the university web site.

The evening's entertainment begins at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour. Dinner is at 7 p.m. A raffle and silent auction benefit scholarships. This event is held in the University Ballroom of the UW-Parkside Student Center.

A limited number of tickets remain for this gala celebration. Call Connie Degneau at 262-595-2443 or access degneau@uwp.edu via email to reserve yours.
