Grant to help create diversity resource library

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside Office of Diversity and Inclusion has received a $2,500 grant from the Kenosha Community Foundation's LaFave Family Fund. In a letter to foundation executive director Robert Schneider, Sarah Park said the money will help create a new campus and community resource.

"The funds will be used to hire a student to catalogue and centralize multicultural resources on campus to create a Diversity Resource Library. [These] resources will be available across various departments and we will make them available for our campus and surrounding community members," Park said.

She added the grant is in keeping with the spirit of Susann LaFave because it promotes understanding, communication, and sense of tolerance between individuals and groups.
