Reads this now: Lunch jam, Twilight Jazz

To get you ready for Sunday's Racine Concert Band performance…or just to brighten your Tuesday, there are two musical events today you should know about:

Lunch Jam:

In addition to serving up Bacon Bleu Burgers, Grilled Portobello Mushroom Sandwiches, and Chicago Style Hot Dogs, a "Chef's Special" of tasty tunes has been added to today's Wyllie Market Grill menu. UW-Parkside music students are participating in an impromptu "jam" session today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the area between the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for Arts and Humanities and Wyllie Hall.

Twilight Jazz

And this evening at 7, it's Joe Kennedy and the Antidotes! The group is featured during Twilight Jazz at Kenosha's Anderson Art Center, located at 121 66th St. Pianoman "Big" Joe Kennedy, a UW-Parkside alumnus, is joined by fellow grads John Sorensen on trumpet and Ken Fabis on sax. UW-Parkside faculty member Mike Gudbaur plays bass while Katie Poole is featured on trombone and Paul Griffin on drums. It's the antidote for a boring Tuesday and it's free.
