New colleges now active at UW-Parkside

The new structure of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside is now in place:

  • The College of Natural and Health Sciences, Dr. Emmanuel Otu, Dean;
  • The College of Arts and Humanities, Dr. Dean Yohnk, Dean, with, for the coming academic year, the Division of Social Sciences led by Dr. Peggy James;
  • The College of Business, Economics, and Computing, Dr. Fred Ebeid, Dean

Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Terry Brown recently announced the implementation of new configuration to campus and thanked the people who worked to make it a reality.

"The four-college model will provide the structure and support necessary to fully implement our academic plan and to lead this university to academic distinction within the UW System and the region," Brown said.

She noted that Dr. Otu assumes his duties Aug. 1. Until that date, Dean Yohnk will, in consultation with the provost, provide administrative oversight to the College of Natural and Health Sciences. The email included a complete list of department chairs and support staff which can be viewed on the university web site.
