A request from Human Resources
The UW-Parkside Human Resources is asking for help from faculty and academic staff: get your leave reports to HR by the fifth of each month.
"Payroll dates vary each month and it is important that we receive these in a timely manner so our payroll staff has time to enter the leave data into HRS and so we can run various reports to ensure your leaves are processed correctly," said Interim HR Director Barb Farrar. "Leave reports turned in late may not be processed in time for a payroll resulting in delayed updates to your sick time or other leave balances. Late leave reports can also prevent you from accruing your sick and other paid leave at the appropriate time."
This summer: Nine-month employees who are teaching over the summer or receiving compensation for summer service, need to complete a leave report each month. This is a process to help ensure a more timely and accurate balance of your leave.
Employee's responsibility: As the transition to HRS self-service is made which allows employees to access technology tools anytime and anyplace to: enter leave time taken online, see benefits and pay details on My UW Portal, and enter changes to Open Enrollment online, it becomes critical that employees review their My UW Portal to make sure the information is accurate. HR will conduct periodic trainings to help employees learn how to review their statements on UW Portal. If you receive sudden increases or decreases in your pay, this is a sign you must review your statement. If there appears to be an error, contact HR immediately.
COMING SOON: In the next few months, we will roll out an online process for you to enter your unclassified leave report which will have an electronic signature approval by your supervisor. Training and information will be available soon.
