Help wanted: Relay For Life
The 2012 Relay for Life of Kenosha is 15 days away. It takes place August 3 and 4 at the UW-Parkside campus starting Friday at 6 p.m.
Benefiting the American Cancer Society, "Relay" is a life-changing event that helps our community celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. The only way it could possibly be a better event is if you attend and volunteer.
The Parkside Employee Alumni Group is heavily involved in the event. Members will be making smoothies...mmmmm, real fruit--strawberry, pineapple, banana, just $2 for 12oz. Group members will also be walking.
Of course, smoothies go great with all the food that will be available: pizza, hot beef, Italian sausage, brats, hot dogs, sub sandwiches, fruit, cookies, cupcakes, candy, donuts, and much more.
Volunteering for Relay for Life is easy and can be done online. Volunteers are especially needed Saturday at 8 a.m. for clean up and tear down.
See you at the 2012 Relay For Life of Kenosha!
