The UW-Parkside Org. Fair Wednesday...be there! |
By Samantha Savaglio
This year the Student Organization Council has chosen a game show theme. The organizations that best represent this theme--including wearing costumes and displaying props!--will be awarded cash prizes for their displays.
The "Org" Fair is the ideal way for new and returning students to become more involved in their campus community by allowing them the opportunity to find organizations that mirror their own personalities, goals, and interests. Also, with companies like Northwestern Mutual Life here, it's a great opportunity for students to apply for internships.
With 110 student organizations listed on the UW-Parkside Campus Connect page, this is the perfect time for students to see what new organizations will be operating this year and what established organizations are doing differently to become more involved. Regulars at the fair include Ranger News, Student Activities, campus radio WIPZ, the Black Student Union, Boys & Girls Club, the Society for Human Resource Management, and many, many more.
That's the Student Organization and Involvement Fair, Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the Student Center Pavilion. Get involved! The new academic year kicks off with the annual Student Organization and Involvement Fair. Between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, the Student Center Pavilion will be lined with tables and booths highlighting both campus and community organizations.
