Experience Days, Sat./Transfer info. sessions set
The University of Wisconsin-Parkside offers high school students, transfer students, and adults interested in returning to school a series of fall semester opportunities to get to know the university. Several Saturday Information Sessions, a trio of Experience Days, and a session devoted to transfer information are available to explore the variety of quality, affordable, and challenging career education available at the UW-Parkside campus.
"Every student takes a different approach to learning and these sessions allow students to decide how they want to learn about our campus," said Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management DeAnn Possehl. "The Saturday sessions are more relaxed while Experience Days provide a real-life campus experience. So, students get to choose the atmosphere they are most comfortable learning in."
During Saturday Information Sessions, students have the opportunity to tour the campus, talk to admission representatives, and meet current UW-Parkside students. Taking place from 9 a.m. to noon, the Saturday sessions are Oct. 13, Nov. 3, Nov. 17, and Dec. 8, 2012.
Held on days when classes are in session, Experience Days give students a real feel for campus life at UW-Parkside. Participants have hands-on academic experiences, tour the campus, have their admissions questions answered, and meet students and faculty. Experience Days are Friday, Oct. 26, Monday, Nov. 12, and Friday, Nov. 30 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
