UW-Parkside faculty meets today in Rita 131
University of Wisconsin-Parkside faculty gather for the fall semester meeting today, Monday, Oct. 15, at noon in room 131, the new lecture hall, of the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for Arts and Humanities. Please note: this meeting was originally scheduled for Molinaro 128.
The agenda includes a review of recent changes in university administration, an update on the Higher Learning Commission accreditation effort, plans for implementation of the academic plan, and other topics. All faculty members are urged to attend.
"The all-faculty meeting is held once each semester and is typically devoted to a discussion of issues of current interest," said UW-Parkside Secretary of the Faculty Gary Wood.
Wood said the all faculty meeting differs from the three faculty senate meetings held each semester. The senate meetings are used to vote on policy resolutions and other university matters.
The University Committee, in consultation with the Chancellor, approved an agenda that deals with:
Transitions in Senior Administration
HLC Accreditation update
Academic Plan Implementation
Legislative Relations and the UW-Parkside Impact Report
The meeting is scheduled to last 90 minutes.
"We understand many of you have course obligations at 1 p.m.," Professor Wood said. "Please attend even if you will need to leave early."
