Human Resources says: Benefit deadline approaches

The clock is ticking! The UW-Parkside Human Resources Department reminds you the annual benefit enrollment period ends Friday, Nov. 2, at 4:30 p.m. This is the only time you can make benefit plan changes unless you have a "life event"?marriage, birth, divorce, etc.?which allows you to add or change benefits.  You can also cancel any of your insurance plans for 2013. All changes take effect Jan. 1, 2013.

There are several significant plan changes for 2013 along with insurance premium increases and a Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) increase. And, many health plans are making changes to their provider network, so you should confirm that the doctors you visit are still available under your 2013 health plan.

Wisconsin Retirement System Presentation Nov. 5 

The Wisconsin Employee Trust Funds present a presentation on the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The presentation is Monday, Nov. 5, at 6:30 p.m. in the Madrigrano Auditorium on the Kenosha campus of Gateway Technical College. Human Resources Manager Roxane Kriederman said, "This is a great opportunity for employees to learn more about their retirement benefits. They can bring their spouse and/or partner to also learn about state retirement benefits."
