Friday Parking, Walkway and Class Schedule Updates
As part of Vice President Joe Biden's appearance at UW-Parkside Friday, Oct. 26, access to some campus roadways, walkways, and buildings will be restricted. Directional signs will alert motorists and pedestrians to restricted areas and alternate routes.
ENTERING THE EVENT
The only entrance to the event is through the south main doors of the Sports & Activity Center (SAC). Doors open at 12:30 p.m.
EVENT PARKING
Persons attending the event should park in lot E (main SAC parking lot south of the building), the smaller lot on the west side of the SAC (lot D), or lots B and C adjacent to the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for Arts and Humanities (The Rita).
Persons parking in lot D will be directed to walk the bike path along County Hwy. JR to the SAC south entrance.
PARKING/SHUTTLE AT THE RITA
A shuttle bus for persons parking in lot B or C (west of The Rita) departs every few minutes from The Rita circle and near The Rita bus shelter to the south entrance of the SAC.
WALKING TO THE SAC
The walkway from The Rita and Wyllie Hall to the SAC is closed all day Friday. All pedestrian traffic on the south side of The Rita and Wyllie Hall will be directed to The Rita circle.
All walkways from lot C toward the north side of the SAC and the road from lot C toward the north side of the SAC will be closed. Pedestrians who choose to walk from lot B or C will be directed to the bike path along County Hwy. JR. Persons who park in lot B or C are encouraged to use the shuttle.
KENOSHA AREA TRANSIT
Kenosha Area Transit will only stop at the Tallent Hall parking lot bus shelter Friday.
CAMPUS SHUTTLE
The regular campus shuttle will travel only between the Tallent Hall parking lot and the Student Center circle Friday. A second campus shuttle will travel between The Rita circle and near The Rita bus shelter to the south entrance of the SAC beginning at 10:30 a.m. Friday, and for at least an hour after the event.
FRIDAY CLASS SCHEDULE
All Friday classes in the main academic complex will be held as scheduled.
