Diwali Festival of Light celebration is Nov. 9

The Parkside International Club (PIC) at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside invites area residents to an evening of authentic Indian culture and cuisine during the Diwali Festival of Lights Friday, Nov. 9. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the celebration begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom at 900 Wood Rd. in Kenosha.

The Diwali Festival of Lights starts with a traditional Indian prayer and a presentation of the meaning of Diwali followed by a sumptuous Indian dinner. After the meal, there are traditional Indian dancers and a fashion show.
