Join us for a Veterans Day Celebration
Monday at 12-hundred hours, the men and women of the Parkside Military Veterans Organization (PMVO) host a 60-minute tribute to the soldiers, sailors, Marines, and flyers who have served our country in peace and in war. Stop by Main Place of Wyllie Hall for the university's Veterans Day Celebration.
The country's colors are presented by the Wisconsin Army National Guard followed by the "Star Spangled Banner" performed by Sigma Lambda Gamma President Tajai Turner.
Between the opening and closing prayer offered by UW-Parkside student Eric Zizich and a welcome from UW-Parkside Chancellor Debbie Ford, Master of Ceremonies, and PMVO founder, Jim Lentz will offer a "Birthday Wish to the Marines;" U.S. Army Vet Teri Christianson will speak on women serving our country, Air Force memories will be voiced by Renee Hanson, Dasiee Francour will talk for the Oneida Nation, and Kristine Perez, the wife of an active duty Marine, will offer "A Spouse's Story."
The ceremony closes with "Taps" played by Justin Irwin.
Please pause from your busy day to join us in memory and celebration.
