Winning weekend propels Ranger playoff squads

Rangers face top seed in NCAA tournament Friday.

There's some great reading to be had on the UW-Parkside athletics web site! The victorious UW-Parkside women's soccer team advanced nationally after two hard-fought victories. Meanwhile, the volleyball team swept a pair of matches on the road to clinch a Great Lakes Valley Conference playoff berth and build momentum. Plus, both basketball teams and the wrestling opened their regular seasons. Here are the details:

Women's Soccer

UW-Parkside women's soccer blanked William Jewell 2-0 on Friday and rallied to a 2-1 victory over Quincy on Sunday, advancing to NCAA Tournament Midwest Region Final on Friday, Nov. 16 in Allendale, Mich.
Volleyball
Ranger volleyball closed out the regular season with a road wins over Kentucky Wesleyan and Southern Indiana. UWP opens GLVC Tournament on Friday, Nov. 16 in Indianapolis.
Basketball & Wrestling
Ranger men's basketball, women's basketball and wrestling all opened the regular season over the weekend.
