Dial-in modem service to end Dec. 1

Campus Technology Services (CTS) at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside has announced the campus will discontinue support of dial-in Internet modem service at the end of this month. The rising cost for modem services and a decline in usage were cited as reasons for ending the service as of Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012.  

CTS said alternative means of obtaining high-speed Internet services can be found in the Yellow Pages section on Internet service providers. Current modem users are also urged to consider using the Internet at area public libraries or in the UW-Parkside library.
