Soccer’s Cheng, Konior; V-ball’s Nickel honored

A trio of UW-Parkside student athletes earned their place--and the recognition that goes with it--at the top of their respective sports.

The accolades continue for University of Wisconsin-Parkside defenders Lauki'i Cheng and Emily Konior, both earning spots on the Daktronics All-Midwest Region Women's Soccer Team. A total of 26 players from across the region were honored for their prowess on the pitch with Cheng and Konior both securing Second Team honors. Meanwhile, UW-Parkside outside hitter Bridget Nickel was one of 12 student-athletes earning First Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honors at the league's volleyball awards reception at the NCAA Hall of Champions in Indianapolis. Check the athletic web site for details.
