Chalk talkin' in Madison through Feb. 9. |
There are now images in the State Capitol Building that are familiar to people at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and residents of Kenosha and Racine. Now through Feb. 9, 16 "Chalk Talk Kenosha" banners are being shown in Madison.
"Chalk Talk Kenosha" is a community art project inspired by the photography of Minneapolis-based artist Wing Young Huie. The exhibition is comprised of photos and banners originally hung in storefronts in downtown Kenosha in spring 2012 and later shown at UW-Parkside.
Congratulations to Art Gallery Director Patricia Briggs and ExposeKenosha for bringing a bit of Kenosha to Madison.
