UW-Parkside Unico alumni meet with Ford & faculty.

On Friday, Jan. 25, UW-Parkside administrators and faculty got an inside perspective on a local high-tech company with strong ties to the Kenosha campus. Led by Chancellor Debbie Ford, a contingent of university administrators, current faculty, and special guest, Emeritus Professor of Computer Science George Perdikaris, made a site visit to the Franksville headquarters of Unico. The company, which engineers complex drive systems for a variety of industries, has numerous UW-Parkside graduates in its workforce. University officials met with alumni, toured the company's HQ, and posed for the photo shown above. All of the Unico employees pictured are UW-Parkside graduates. During spring semester, Ranger Today will have a feature story on this enduring and impactful relationship between our university and the local economy.
