Outstanding CBL faculty honored Friday, Feb. 15
What do Megan Mullen, Mary Kay Schleiter, Adrienne Viramontes, and Mike Zurad have in common? They are the faculty who most successfully incorporated community-based learning (CBL) into their courses during the 2011-12 academic year. They will be honored for their work during a program Friday, Feb. 15, from noon to 3 p.m. in the Oak Room of the Student Center.
If you've ever wondered how to use community based learning as a teaching tool, this is the program for you. Faculty will talk about how they connected with partners and developed projects. Plus, you'll hear from students and how they benefitted from this experience.
But wait...there's more!
Join us for lunch and a panel discussion with the award winners and a workshop covering the basics of CBL and the potential for enhancing your classes. RSVP to Rosann Weber at weberr@uwp.edu or call at extension 3341.
