Friday deadline: Alumni Association award nominees

Time grows short for those who want to honor distinguished University of Wisconsin-Parkside graduates for outstanding professional achievements and exemplary volunteer service. The nomination deadline is this Friday, Feb. 15.

Two awards are given:

• The Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award for graduates who have excelled in their professional lives, and
• The UW-Parkside Distinguished Service Award for graduates' outstanding contributors to their local communities and/or the university. There can be multiple recipients of each award.

Nominators provide a letter of recommendation for nominees, their own name, address, phone number, and email; the name, address, phone number, and an email address of nominees. Nominees must hold a bachelor's or master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

UW-Parkside Alumni Association Director Peppy O'Neill reports there are currently 10 nominees for the awards. Recipients are recognized during commencement ceremonies in May.
