Friday Colloquium: "Jekyll & Hyde Bacterium”
The first Biological Sciences Colloquium of spring semester is Friday, March 8, at noon in Greenquist 101.Dr. Elizabeth Hussa from UW-Madison speaks on "Jekyll and Hyde: The two faces of a bacterium with a complicated lifestyle and a killer instinct." Dr. Hussa studies the biology and molecular mechanisms of a bacterium with two symbiotic host interactions: pathogenesis of agricultural insect pests, and mutualism with a soil-dwelling nematode.
