Nominations open: $2000 nonprofit leadership award

The Center for Community Partnerships at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside announces nominations are now being accepted for the 2013 Nonprofit Leadership Excellence Award. Available to all 501©3 organizations in Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth counties, applications are accepted through 11:59 p.m. Friday, March 22. Visit www.uwp.edu/go/nonprofitbreakfast to download the application form.

Managing nonprofit organizations grows more complex and challenging every year. With this $2,000 award, the Kenosha Community Foundation and the Racine Community Foundation celebrate a nonprofit organization whose leadership has made critical decisions that have built significant organizational capacity and/or led that organization on the path to sustainability. Awards such as this one encourage a growing number of nonprofits to pursue excellence in leadership and to contribute to the field's growing legacy of excellence. This new award is presented Friday, April 26, at the Nonprofit Breakfast held, for the first time, at the Kenosha Country Club.

The Nonprofit Leadership Excellence Award recognizes outstanding achievements in building capacity toward sustainability. Staff, board members, and volunteers may nominate their own organizations.
