United Way #UWPCARES 50/50 (& A Bit More) Raffle

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside's United Way committee has announced it will conduct a 50/50 raffle to benefit the campaign and several lucky campus colleagues. The #UWPCARES 50/50 (& A Bit More) Raffle will award cash, gift cards, and "Ranger Spring" prize packages to raffle participants.

"In addition to people's pledges of support to the United Way, the committee wanted to add a little fun and excitement to celebrate the campaign," said campaign spokesman John Jarazcewski. "People will need to hurry and get their tickets because the committee has put a strict limit on the number of 50/50 raffle tickets we will sell to help the campaign."

Tickets, Jaraczewski explained, are $1 or 6 for $5 and only one million tickets will be sold. He went on to say the prizes are:

            1st prize: Half of the cash in the raffle pool

2nd Prize: $25 Woodman's gift card

3rd Prize: $25 Target gift card

4th, 5th, 6th Prizes: UW-Parkside Ranger Spring Packages which include a green UW-Parkside tumbler, UW-Parkside umbrella, and UW-Parkside Frisbee.

Tickets are on sale now through Thursday, March 21. The prize drawing is held Friday, March 22. Tickets can be purchased from United Way committee members Karen Grabher, Connie Wheeler, Sarah Raidbard, Amy Castelic, Don Lintner, Ana Clementi, Dave Buchanan, and on the Student Center Bridge Friday, March 15 through Wednesday, March 20 from noon to 1 p.m.
