Get your tickets now: SNAP Gala aids Kathy’s House
The Student Nurses Association at Parkside (SNAP) holds its annual benefit gala Friday, March 22, at Roma Lodge, 7130 Spring St., Racine. This year's celebration raises funds for Kathy's House and if you're going to attend you need to buy tickets soon.
Kathy's House was selected as this year's SNAP Gala organization for the important physical and social roles it plays for patients and loved ones.
"Kathy's House is a home-away-from-home for people receiving treatment for extended illnesses. Guests are welcome to stay as long as they continue to receive hospital care," said SNAP Gala coordinator Gary Homeier. "Another important aspect of Kathy's House is that while they are sharing the facility, guests are part of a community that provides them with hope and encouragement."
The SNAP Gala starts at 5 p.m. with cocktails. A buffet dinner follows at 6 p.m. During the evening, guests will hear from Kathy's House representatives, participate in live and silent auctions, and dance the night away. Evening attire suggested.
Tickets are $25. Purchase them by phone at 262-595-2480 or by mail through the UW-Parkside Consortial Nursing Program, 900 Wood Rd., P.O. Box 2000, Kenosha, Wis. 53141. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
SNAP is the student organization of the consortial nursing program based at UW-Parkside and administered by UW-Milwaukee.
