Our Faculty/Staff: Kelley, Castor, Robinson
Kim Kelley, Assistant Vice Chancellor, Institutional Effectiveness, will join colleagues Theresa Castor, Associate Professor of Communication, and Jim Robinson, Director of the Teaching and Learning Center, to speak at the annual meeting of the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) April 5-9 in Chicago. Two UW-Parkside proposals were accepted for presentation as models from which other institutions can learn. One presentation, "We're in This Together: Shared Learning Goals through Faculty Development" will be a part of HLC's Academy for Student Assessment Showcase. The other program: "Coordinating a Faculty-Led, Large Scale Direct Student Assessment," will be presented as part of the HLC general program. Kelley, Castor, and Robinson will co-present these talks. The Higher Learning Commission Annual Meeting features individuals from across the country who address best practices related to assessment, faculty development, organizational leadership, and many other topics relevant to higher education. Check Thursday's Ranger Today for more information about our colleagues' trip to Chicago.
