Froedtert Health CEO Spring Commencement Speaker
Catherine Jacobson, president and CEO of Froedtert Health, a regional health-care system based in Milwaukee, will be the featured speaker at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside spring 2013 commencement ceremonies.
Jacobson joined Froedtert Health in 2010 as executive vice president of finance and strategy, chief financial officer and chief strategy officer. She was promoted in 2011, becoming president and adding responsibility for all operations of the health system to her portfolio. In 2012, she assumed the CEO role.
Froedtert Health includes an academic medical center, two community hospitals, a community-based medical group, and several related joint ventures. The system's flagship hospital, Froedtert Hospital, is the primary adult teaching affiliate of the Medical College of Wisconsin. Together, Froedtert and the Medical College form eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center. The system's three hospitals have 772 staffed beds, nearly 40,000 annual admissions and more than 900,000 annual outpatient visits.
UW-Parkside spring 2013 commencement ceremonies take place Saturday, May 18. The 10 a.m. ceremony honors graduates from the College of Business, Economics, and Computing, and the College of Natural and Health Sciences. The 2:30 p.m. ceremony honors graduates of the College of Arts and Humanities and the Division of social and Professional Studies.
