Laurel: Editors praise educator development
The editors of the Kenosha News were singing the praises of university administration and our colleagues in IPED for the launch of the new Educator Development program. The Sunday, April 14, "Laurel" stated:
To University of Wisconsin-Parkside Chancellor Deborah Ford and her team for starting a new teacher education program. The state Department of Public Instruction found major problems with Parkside's program in 2009 and Ford decided it was best to shut it down. After three years of homework, a new program aims to find the best teacher mentors, pay closer attention to student teachers' academics and review more frequently how participants are performing during work with mentors.
More information about the new Educator Development program is available online.
