Higher Learning Commission visit
Public Notification of Comprehensive Evaluation Visit and Third Party Comments
The University of Wisconsin-Parkside is seeking input from the general public as part of its preparation for a comprehensive evaluation for continuing accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association (NCA) of Colleges and Schools. UW-Parkside has been accredited by the commission since 1972.
UW-Parkside began a self-study process in May, 2010 in preparation for a formal accreditation site visit by a team of evaluators from the College's peer institutions representing the HLC. An executive summary of the completed self-study can be downloaded here: http://www.uwp.edu/departments/academic.affairs/hlc/FINAL%20exec%20summ.pdf To view the full self-study, access the HLC webpage at http://www.uwp.edu/departments/academic.affairs/hlc/ and click on HLC Final Self Study in the menu.
The team of peer-evaluators is scheduled to visit our campus from April 28th - May 1st and will review the university's ongoing ability to meet the commission's criteria for accreditation, which can accessed here:
