Help wanted: Chancellor’s Student Breakfast
The annual Chancellor's Student Breakfast is Monday, May 13, starting at 9 p.m. and we'd like you to participate! Faculty and staff are invited to the Brickstone Grill and Eatery in the Student Center to help serve breakfast to students as they prepare for finals.
Dennis Casey said this study break is popular with students and a good way to express our appreciation to them.
"Last year, we served over 400 students in 2 hours," said Casey who is the Student Center's assistant director of operations. "This is a fun way to wish the students well on exams and for a safe summer. It is also a chance to say goodbye to those who will be leaving campus and starting their new life as a UW-Parkside alum."
Volunteers welcome the students while serving on the food line. Beverage servers are also needed. Each shift is one hour and 15 minutes long (unless you would like to work both shifts). The first shift is 8:45 to 10 p.m. and the second is 9:45 to 11 p.m. We need 20 people or more for each shift.
"This breakfast is a break for all students who are preparing for exams as well as getting ready for their summer. The breakfast is provided by Sodexo and is free to all students," Casey added.Join Chancellor Debbie Ford, UW-Parkside Student Life, and Sodexo in wishing our students well.
