Distinguished Faculty and Staff Award Recipients
Today at the 2013 Fall Convocation presentation recipients of the Distinguished Faculty and Staff Awards were recognized for their achievements.
The Stella C. Gray Teaching Excellence Award, emblematic of UW-Parkside's best faculty, went to three-time recipient Pirooz "Paul" Mohazzabi. Mohazzabi, a Professor of Physics, also won the honor in 1994 and 2005.
Also winning the Stella C. Gray Teaching Excellence Award is Associate Professor of Geography John Ward.
Abey Kuruvilla is the recipient of the Community Engaged Learning and Research Award for 2013.
The Academic Staff Distinguished Service Award for 2013 was awarded to Pat Eaton.
Ali Fairchild won the 2013 Advising Excellence Award.
The 2013 Faculty Distinguished Service Award was received by Biological Sciences Associate Professor Robert Barber.
Professor Laura Khoury of Sociology/Anthropology was named the 2013 Research and Creative Activity Award winner.
Disability Services Program Associate Jane Rohner and UW-Parkside Police Officer Kelly Horvath are the 2013 Classified Staff Distinguished Service Award recipients.
The 2013 UW-Parkside Diversity Award was received by Rita Altmeyer.
Posters on each honoree, and on 2013 Regents Teaching Excellence Award winner Peggy James, will be on display during the 2013-2014 academic year in the main concourse of Greenquist Hall.
