Kind-Keppel new Diversity and Inclusion Manager
Heather Kind-Keppel has been appointed as the new Diversity and Inclusion manager at UW-Parkside beginning July 29.
She will be responsible for assisting Senior Diversity Officer Dr. Ed Twyman with management, implementation, and communication of diversity and inclusion education and training programs.
Prior to joining UW-Parkside, Kind-Keppel worked for Richland Community College as director of student engagement, director of student life, and instructor for service learning and leadership courses. She also previously served as program coordinator for Social Justice and Leadership Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, student services adviser at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and assistant complex director at the Minnesota State University-Mankato. She remains active with the Native American Network.
Kind-Keppel received her undergraduate degree from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, a master's degree in education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a master's degree in science from Minnesota State University-Mankato.
