@The Rita Visiting Artist Series
Dean Yohnk and the College of Arts and Humanities are excited to announce the launch of the new @The Rita Visiting Artist Series beginning with a performance by Chicago's legendary comedy theatre, The Second City, Saturday, September 7.
After working for over a year and surveying over 2,000 individuals, Dean Yohnk and the College of Arts and Humanities are thrilled to present a tailored series of higher caliber national and international performances they hope will be exciting. With performances such as The Second City's Happily Ever Laughter, Michael Feldman's "Whad'ya Know?", Dickens In America and Pallade Musica, their collaborative efforts have raised the quality of performances being brought to UW-Parkside.
The College of Arts and Humanities has gone a step further with the @The Rita Visiting Artist Series and will be incorporating an educational component that better connects the series to the academic offerings in the college. Offering free afternoon workshops and master classes with the visiting artists before each performance, including a two hour workshop with the cast of The Second City, the @The Rita promises to be a full and exciting series.
