Support The Root River At The Root River Festival
Root River Festival-Saturday, September 21, at Island Park from 2-10 p.m.
The Root River Council is hosting the Root River Festival this Saturday, Sept. 21. The Root River Council is a Racine based, all volunteer group focused on the revitalization of the Root River in Racine.
This is the first Root River Festival and it is free to the community. There will be over 25 non-profit organizations promoting their work and a myriad of children's activities including: pony rides, face painting, a bounce house, a magic show, arts and crafts, a petting zoo, Racine Zoo animals and picnic games.
The children activities run from 2-5 p.m. and from 5-10 pm. there will be live music and entertainment including: The Magician "Jailhouse Jonny", The Young Strings, Everret Thomas, Katy Lafond, and Chicken Grease.
Come out and support the revitalization of the Root River in Racine!

Island Park or Horlick Park is a neighborhood park covering 19 acres of land in Racine, Wisconsin. The park is located on an island, surrounded on both sides by the Root River.
