John Skalbeck is an Associate Professor of Geosciences and the Academic Director for the Master of Science in Sustainable Management program. He earned his B.A. in geology from Gustavus Adolphus College, M.S. in geology/geophysics from Western Washington University, and Ph.D. in hydrology from the University of Nevada-Reno. He serves on the UW-Parkside Environmental Studies program Steering Committee and is cofounder of two environmental education community centers in Racine and Kenosha. Skalbeck spent over ten years as a groundwater consultant specializing in soil and groundwater contamination and remediation. His current research includes modeling of gravity and magnetic data for hydro geologic applications, wetlands characterization, and water quality of beaches.
