Enrollment Growth For Fall Semester
UW-Parkside is experiencing real, amazing enrollment growth for new students this fall. Our freshman and our transfer numbers grew. The profile of the new freshman class continued to improve and the diversity of the new class remained strong. In addition, fall-to-fall retention improved by 10% to an 72%, and all students have continued to enroll for more credits each semester. These results could not have been achieved without the commitment of the entire campus. The following are just a few examples of the continuous effort being made to make UW-Parkside real, amazing:
- Students who participated in the First Picken Scholarship Competition created by Enrollment Management and the College of Arts and Humanities yielded students at a rate 77% compared to 54% for the general population of new freshmen.
- Rich Karwatka and other Learning Assistance staff improved success in developmental math courses through significant changes in pedagogy.
- Expanded outreach by Admissions and New Student Services staff.
These are only a few examples of the significant work being done as a campus, and serve as an inspiration to continue our work to make the UW-Parkside experience real, amazing.
