Two new members of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside management team, Dean of Students Tammy McGuckin and College of Natural and Health Sciences Dean Emmanuel Otu, made their campus debuts Wednesday, Aug. 1.
After introductions by Chancellor Debbie Ford and being told by Ford, "This is your opportunity to tell us what you expect of us," both McGuckin and Otu expressed excitement over their new jobs.
"I'm just looking forward to being part of Parkside's family," McGuckin, who comes to Kenosha from the University of West Florida, said. "And I'm looking forward to a great year."
Otu, who comes to UW-Parkside after serving most recently on the faculty of the School of Natural Sciences at the University of Indiana Southeast, said he's ready to help shape the new College of Natural and Health Sciences.
"I'm glad to be here and I'm glad to be part of the team. I think there's a lot of energy in this room and I would like to contribute to this campus," Otu stated."
Our new colleagues were the guests of honors during an afternoon reception in the Galbraith Room of Wyllie Hall.
